General Questions

  • YamanBuddy is a mobile app that makes bus travel simple and stress-free. Whether you’re a regular commuter or just need to catch a bus occasionally, YamanBuddy helps you get where you need to go with ease.

  • With real-time bus tracking, you’ll always know when your bus is arriving. The app also lets you pick the best route to your destination and manage your travel schedule effortlessly. No more waiting around or wondering when your bus will show up—YamanBuddy gives you all the information you need right at your fingertips.
  • Join the YamanBuddy community and enjoy a smarter, more efficient way to travel by bus.

You can sign in to the Yaman Buddy app using your Google account. Simply open the app, select your Google account, or add a new google account, and then click the "Sign-in" button. For IOS users, they can sign in with their Apple ID.

If you can't find your desired bus route, navigate to the "Help and Support" page and click on the "Request Route" option. You can fill out a form to request a new route, including your phone number, route number, and route name. Because your desired route is currently unavailable, it has not been added to the system yet.

After selecting your route and the "From" and "To" locations on the home page, click the "Find a Bus" button. This will take you to the "Available Buses" page, where you can see a list of all scheduled, boarding, and ongoing buses for your selected route.

The system will give a message if there are no any scheduled buses for the selected route as “No scheduled buses available for today”.

If you receive an error message, it might be because the "From" and "To" locations are either empty or the same. Ensure that you have filled in both locations correctly.

Yes, the app is free to download. You can go to Play Store (for Android users) or App Store (for IOS users) and search for “YamanBuddy” and can freely download the app

Once you have selected a route and bus, you can track your bus on a real map. The map view will show the bus's current location, its early or delayed times, and how far it is from your location.

If you encounter any issues, you can report them through the "Report an Issue" feature on the "Help and Support" page. Fill in the required details, and submit your complaint.

To learn more about the YamanBuddy app, navigate to the "Help and Support" page and click on "App Info." Here you can find details about the app version and developer information.

To logout, go to the "Help and Support" page and click the "Logout" option. This will log you out and return you to the login screen.

You can review the privacy policy by navigating to the "Help and Support" page and selecting the "Privacy Policy" option.

Updates are available through your device’s App Store or Play store. App will display an alert to update the new version.

No, Not at the moment. However, in the near future the app will support Sinhala and Tamil languages.

The app uses real-time GPS data from the buses to provide accurate tracking. However, occasional discrepancies may occur due to GPS or network issues.

To view detailed information about a specific bus, go to the "Available Buses" page and click on the "More Info" icon next to the bus you're interested in. This will display details such as the bus number, its current status (whether it is scheduled or boarding), and a list of all bus stops along with their respective arrival times for the selected route.

If a bus is delayed from its scheduled departure time, the app will display a note stating "Delay in departure. ETA is not available." This indicates that the bus is running late, and the estimated time of arrival (ETA) cannot be provided at the moment.
